Baseball!

Someone asked the other day, "What's Henry into these days?" My answer: baseball. And, hold onto your baseball caps, folks, Brad is into baseball. It even seems to have superceded his espresso obsession. (This is Brad's new espresso machine. Yes, there is an english language version of the website, but the italian is so much sexier.)

Preschool!

Henry had his first day of school today. He's going to a co-operative preschool operated through a local community college. "Co-operative" because the parents participate in running the preschool. Our job is assisting the teacher with classroom set-up. We have class one day a week, in the evening. The first day was interesting and very, very fun. Not nearly as chaotic as it seemed like it would be, with 20 kids and at least that many parents. For the first couple of meetings, all the parents are invited to observe and participate in class. After a few weeks, half the parents will stay with the class helping the teacher or observing; the other half will participate in a childhood/parent development course. Each week, the halves switch, so you're in the classroom with your child half the time. Not your traditional preschool, but I'm not down with traditional education these days.
