What's Above Texas?

Henry loves jigsaw puzzles. He loves maps, too, so naturally one of his favorite puzzles is his United States map puzzle. Over the last month or so, he's gotten really good at identifying all the states. In the real world, he knows which way is north, south, etc., but hasn't really applied that to maps yet, so I thought I'd try to show him on his map puzzle.

I started with the easy ones: North and South Carolina, East and West coasts, etc. He was doing great. Then I asked him which state is north of Texas. He pointed at Mexico, so I said, "no, what's above Texas?" After a few seconds lost deep in thought, he came up with the answer: "Space!"
