No More Reading & Listening

I've decided to remove the "reading" and "listening" sections of the sidebar over there on the right side of the page. They formerly showed thumbnails of books and CDs we've come across. It was a good idea, but it was just too much trouble to keep it updated, so it's gone.

In it's place is a Flickr photo badge with the five most recent pictures we've uploaded to Flickr. You, our dear and highly-esteemed readers will now be able to see at-a-glance whether we've posted new pictures to our photostream and click directly to said pictures. I think it looks better, too (so long as I don't go posting any pictures of a pyogenic granuloma or anything).

Speaking of new pictures on Flickr, I uploaded a whole bunch yesterday. Enjoy.

The Doughnuts Are Coming!

After lots of delays and waiting, Top Pot is finally coming to Wedgwood. For the last six weeks or so, they've been working on the place seven days a week. Last week, we watched as they mounted a huge metal doughnut on the roof. Perfect! Henry has been very excited about the new 'doughnut factory.' We can barely wait.

Wedgwood is also getting its first Starbucks sometime soon. We're not quite so excited about that (especially now that the fine folks at Grateful Bread have learned how to make decent espresso), but I guess it means Wedgwood is hitting the big time. Starbucks has been selling Top Pot doughnuts in their Seattle-area stores for a few months, so we'll have two places to get the tasty treats within a block of each other (and within two blocks of our house).

The Mets

Brad, Henry, and my mom went to the Mets @ Mariners game today, which the Mariners won 11-5. A good time was had by all! I watched some of the game on television and rested at home. Hey, I'm pregnant! Apparently, throughout the game, Henry kept turning to Brad to wish him a Happy Fathers' Day, with hugs and cuddles. Very cute. Henry also made a card for Brad this morning. It read: "Happy Bradley Mohr Fathers Day. Love, Henry." It was very important that he get Brad's full name on the card. He also made a lovely drawing of the green grass under a purple night sky for the card.

Baby

No, not yet.
