A bit more...

I forgot to mention in that last post that my mom hadn't been to a ball game since she was a young girl, when she attended a Red Sox game at Fenway with her father Henry Campbell. She remembers Ted Williams hitting a home run to win the game! Very cool.

In other news, our family has welcomed a new member! He hasn't been to a ball game yet, but we'll probably make it to at least one before the end of the season. He's named Charles (Charlie) partly for his great great uncle Charlie Schoelzel, who loved baseball and was at one time honored as one of the Colorado Rockies oldest fans... (don't know the details of that story, unfortunately...)
