Exciting Charlie update. Charlie ate his first cookie today. And, he had watermelon for the first time. And an olive and a mushroom. Also, a few weeks ago, he climbed the stairs to the second floor for the first time (with Brad following behind him step for step). He can pull himself up to stand and cruise along the furniture. He crawls on his knees almost all the time now. He saw a dog yesterday and was clearly (not just to me but to others unrelated to us) trying to say "dog." He waves, he claps, he points. He can turn the lights on and off. He can throw a ball and likes to play catch. All these little delights, happening so fast. Wistfully watching his babyhood end, getting glimpses of the little boy to come.

I can't believe we haven't posted anything since February. I'm sick of having my whiny parenting post as the top of the page, so I'm posting this. Maybe it'll break the writer's block that has been weighing me down.
