I suppose it’s a little late in the day to remind everyone to vote today (you did, though, didn’t you?). Honestly, though the election has been on my mind today, voting hasn’t been. Kathy and I have voted absentee for several years now and mailed ours in last week. In fact, this is the very last election here in King County in which traditional polling places will be open. Starting with the next round, King County is joining most of the rest of the state by going mail-in only.
I’ve been curious about the whole vote-counting process here, particularly for us absentees. The Stranger’s Slog must have read my mind today and published a photo tour of the King County Election HQ down in Renton. Very cool.
