In which I post, with little or no comment, a variety of unrelated things that are cluttering up my browser and/or newsreader…

Gizmodo has a Comparison the Canon 5D Mark II and the Nikon D700, the two companies’ “affordable” full-frame DSLRs. It looks like its tough to go wrong either way, but I’m sure there will be something even better by the time I’m ready to upgrade.

Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater in Lego. (via Coudal Partners.) And in other Lego news, Disney and Lego Announce Strategic Partnership.

Back when I started taking cooking seriously, one of my favorite cookbooks was Rose Levy Beranbaum’s Cake Bible!. Her recipes were so precise and her discussion so scientific. She opened my eyes to a whole different perspective! on food and cooking. Though I still enjoy the rigorousness of her methods, I’ve come to view a lot of her recipes as far too complicated and fussy. I suppose I have Mark Bittman! (aka The Minimalist) to thank for that. Nonetheless, I was delighted to find out she has been posting videos from back in the Cake Bible days on her website. Good stuff. (via Slashfood.)

Beard Papa has arrived in Seattle for real. There has been one in Safeco Field for a little while, but that’s only helpful 80 days a year. (via Seattle Sketcher, which has become one of my favorite local blogs)

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to get nutritional information for a whole bunch of restaurants in a single place? Thanks to Fatburgr, you can. (update: Fatburgr is now ChubbyGrub.)

Grandma’s Graphics has a huge collection of public-domain artwork from old children’s books. Among many others are John Tenniel’s drawings for Alice in Wonderland (via BoingBoing.)

For Kathy: Funny or Die has the Literal Video version of Billy Idol’s White Wedding. It’s not quite as good as the one for Take On Me, but still funny…
