In 1880, Andrew Lund lived with his children as a boarder in the household of the blacksmith John Memphfer, 45 Pearl Street, Sabula, Iowa. He was listed as a widower. John is the husband of Andrew’s sister-in-law, Elizabeth Franzen.

5866 At the age of six, Philip was shot by a playmate, Cecil Stephens, age 8. The two had been playing “soldier” when Philip was shot in the cheek. The bullet penetrated his eardrum and passed out the back of his neck.
