Notes - Learned the harness-makers trade before coming to America in 1834. In 1836, his parents, two brothers, and two sisters came to Addison Township from Germany. Held the office of Justice of the Peace from 1854 until his death. Elected Supervisor in 1855 (until 1859 and again in 1866). A stanch Republican. [4]
