    • Cause of Death: Chronic nephritis
    • Occupation: Farmer

    • Research Notes: Peter was living at the Montgomery County Infirmary in Jefferson Township, Ohio at the time of the 1930 census. The “Infirmary” was the poor house, county home, asylum, etc. His wife Sophie’s entry in the 1930 census lists her as windowed, but this would not be inconsistent with a spouse committed to the infirmary. He died in Montgomery County (at the “Montgomery County House”) in 1932. County Infirmary records are currently held by Wright State University. Brown Family Tree gives Peter’s middle name as “Alexander,” but most other sources give a middle initial C. 1910 census gives age as 56 years, which would put his birth in about 1854. Death certificate lists burial place as Green County, Ohio, but Find-A-Grave entry lists Old Greencastle Cemetery, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.
    • Census: 1880, Cedarville, Greene County, Ohio, USA
    • Census: 1900, Cedarville, Greene County, Ohio, USA
    • Census: 1910, Cedarville, Greene County, Ohio, USA

    Notes:

1910 census indicates his father was born in Virginia and his mother was born in Kentucky. 1900 census shows both parents born in Kentucky.
