    • Research Notes: Burial records on DuPage necrology CD give conflicting birthdate information. Listing from Friedens Church gives birthdate of 29 May 1851 (based on age at death). St. Johannes list gives 1852, but with no specific date. The only explicit birthdate is on the St. John’s Church Membership Lists, which is the date I have entered here. Obituary of son Fred lists another sibling, Elynor Reid (neé Korthauer). It is unclear which wife of Herman’s is her mother. Obituary of son George lists Elynore as well as another sibling, Oliver.
