At the time of the 1900 census, Celestia has a grandson living in her household: Lyle E. Matteson, b. June 1890 in Pennsylvania. Age listed as 24 years in 1870 census, which would put her birth in about 1855. Age listed as 61 in 1910 census, which would put her birth in about 1849. Death certificate lists birthdate as 1 March 1844. Find-a-grave entry lists 1 March 1845. Death Certificate indicates that she had lived in California for 18 years, but that would put her arrival in about 1905, five years before she appears in the census in Buffalo, New York.
