Research Notes | Fred appears in the 1900 census listing of Andrew Lund and Eliza Oestmann Lund. The census shows that Eliza only had three children (George, Lulu, and Edna), so I am assuming Fred’s mother was Andrew’s first wife, Maria Catharine Lisette Frantzen. Coincidentally, she died in the same year he was born. On further investigation, Andrew Lund appears in the 1880 census with four children, the youngest of whom is Freddie. A one year old Fred appears in the 1880 census for the household of Barney Franzen, Fred’s uncle (he is listed as a nephew). His surname is (erroneously ?) listed as Franzen. [1, 2, 5] | |
