  Research Notes	According to Pam and Kevin Cosimano, Salvador was born in Sicily, Italy. Lisa Gallagher’s information on Ancestry.com shows him to have been born in Baltimore, Maryland. Based on the birthplaces of his siblings, it appears the family immigrated between 1877 and 1891, well before he was born. This is confirmed by the information he provided on his WWI Draft Registration Card, which gives his birthplace as Baltimore, Maryland. Similarly, the 1930 and 1940 censuses list Maryland as well.  [3, 6, 7, 12]
