| Notes |
- According to the obituary of her son Harvey, Melissa and her children moved to Illinois after the death of her first husband. In 1878, the family (with her second husband) moved to Missouri “for a brief stop” before continuing to Nebraska, where they settled on a farm in Gosper County.
According to the 1900 census, Rebecca had 9 children, of which 8 survived. [6, 10]
