The place he was born may have been Denmark at one point in time and Germany at another.

Coincidentally, she died in the same year he was born. On further investigation, Andrew Lund appears in the 1880 census with four children, the youngest of whom is Freddie. A one year old Fred appears in the 1880 census for the household of Barney Franzen, Fred’s uncle (he is listed as a nephew). His surname is (erroneously ?) listed as Franzen.
